On July 24 the friends of the Belarusan Youth Movement (BelMov) took part in a conference "Fearless Voices: Accounts of Former Political Prisoners" that took place in the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. |

US President called on the US diplomats in undemocratic countries to maintain regular contact with opponents of the regime. George Bush said it in his speech in Washington on 24 July. The American president mentioned political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin, who has been in Belarusian prison for 2.5 years. |

Next July 18th at 1800 hours Minsk time (1700 hours Warsaw time, GMT +2) BELSAT TV will begin broadcasting into Belarus via the Sirius satellite. It will all start with a live broadcast of the Basovishcha Belarusian Music Festival, which has been taking place annually in Gródek near Białystok, Poland, for the past 14 years. This year for the first time viewers in Belarus will be able to watch the festival prize winners’ concert “live”. |

After the demonstration in the public assembly room of St. Cyril's of Turau Cathedral in Brooklyn there took place a meeting with the coordinator of the "The Third Way" Paul Marozau. He is currently going under a criminal case on the scandalous internet project "MultClub" (= Animation Club). Paul told how he got involved into the Belarussian cause, introduced the present people to the work of "The Third Way", told about the plans for the future. |

On June, 15th in a public hall of the Cathedral of Sacred Cyril Turovsky in Brooklyn the Belarus Youth Movement of America has lead presentation of film "Freedom Day". There were active workers of the Belarus youth movement of America, representatives of Belarusian diaspora at the USA, the foreman of Belarus American association Viachka Stankevich. |

On June 11 in the Estonian parliament an exhibition of Belarusian artists "Art against dictatorship" began. The authors of the exhibition are not only such famous Belarusian artists like Ales Marachkin and Ales Shaternik, who have been persecuted by the Belarusian authorities for their views. Their works are exhibited in Tretyakovsky gallery and the White House. There are also young artists, who think differently, than the current Belarusian regime wants them to, who want to have not only the freedom of work, but freedom of life in their country. |
